What makes an idea stick?

Six checks. One plain line each. Ideas that pass get repeated.

The six checks

Simple. One core, stated first. “Names before numbers.”

Unexpected. A break in the pattern. “The meeting is cancelled — forever.”

Concrete. Things you can touch. “A red door,” not “an entrance.”

Credible. Proof a skeptic can check. A source, a test, a number with a name.

Emotional. One person, not a crowd. “Marta waits two hours for the bus.”

Stories. A small scene with a turn. Someone tries, something changes.

Before

Our new app helps users manage their tasks more efficiently and stay organized.

After

Your list, on one screen, before your coffee cools. If it takes longer than that, we failed.

What changed

“Efficiently” passed none of the six.

The new line is simple, concrete, and checkable by breakfast.

Whose checks are these?
